Columbus Campus

Bexley Seabury seeks to affirm all persons who are faithfully living out their vocations within our community—students, staff and faculty—without prejudice to any person regardless of race, color, gender, age, physical disability, height or weight, national and ethnic origin, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation/identity or gender identification.

Bexley Seabury offers its Master of Divinity degree in conjunction with Trinity Lutheran Seminary from Trinity′s campus, adjacent to Capital University, in Bexley, Ohio, a small suburban village on the eastern edge of Columbus. Our MDiv program is a three-year residential experience in a close-knit community formed by students and faculty from Bexley Seabury and Trinity—a compelling alternative to larger Episcopal seminary experiences. In addition to sharing a “village” experience, Bexley Seabury MDiv students learn in an ecumenical environment and enjoy an outstanding quality of life.

Worship opportunities abound. Services are planned by students and are open to the entire campus community. The primary service each day is the 10 a.m. chapel gathering, which is a Eucharist on Wednesdays, and alternates between the Lutheran and Anglican traditions. Eucharist is also celebrated each Tuesday evening and Thursday morning before classes. Morning and Evening Prayer are offered almost every day. In addition, the entire Bexley Seabury community participates in retreats each year where we set aside the busy-ness of daily life to focus on the work of the Spirit.

Students from Bexley Seabury and Trinity learn together, worship together, and relax together—meeting for meals, drinks and theological discussions that last until all hours of the night. The highlight of community life is the weekly Common Meal, which is prepared and served by Bexley Seabury students and faculty every Thursday night, and open to everyone at both Trinity and Bexley.

Through its academic partnership with Trinity and its association with neighboring Capital University, Bexley Seabury extends to its students the resources and amenities of a larger institution. Bexley Seabury students have access to Trinity’s library and worship center and other common spaces as well as a dedicated chapel, offices, meeting and gathering spaces. In addition, our students have access to Capital’s library, gym, indoor track and weight room.
