A New Call for Meg “Mo” Trimm, Bexley Seabury ’24
The Rev. Meg or Mo Trimm (They/She/He/Xe), Bexley Seabury Class of 2024, has joined the Diocese of Northern Michigan as Missioner, beginning February 3, 2025.
Mo and their family moved to the UP in mid-January, and xe started xeir new ministry in February. So far, they have been honored to join in and to begin to get to know new communities, including congregations, spiritual seekers and practitioners of many different backgrounds, and a homeschooling co-op for their family. Plus, the family has enjoyed exploring local views, businesses, gathering spots, and events. Mo has two thoughts to share about this experience thus far. First, big life transitions, however wonderful, can be daunting. Xe is practicing good boundaries around rest, as well as being gentle with xemself when xe doesn’t have it all figured out. Second and lastly, when the snow falls, the family dog (a husky named “Carrie” after the Star Wars actress) bounds joyfully through the heaps, reminding Mo that there is always joy to be found in unexpected places.
Ordained priest in November 2024, in the Diocese of Wisconsin, Mo has been serving with congregations in a ministry share in Janesville and Beloit, Wisconsin, preaching, managing projects, leading vestry meetings, supporting neighborhood outreach, and equipping ministers for mission. They have previous experience as a protest chaplain; nonviolence educator; community organizer; public relations, social media, and entrepreneurship coach; volunteer services supervisor; and afterschool camp director. Trimm has also served as planning committee chair of Rock County Pridefest, and as board member of the Beloit Historical Society and the Yellow Brick Road Organization, focusing on local LGBTQIA+ safe spaces, education, and advocacy in Rock County Wisconsin.
Mo is married to Aurora, and they have two teenagers.
