About St. Peter’s
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is a joyful, welcoming parish located in Geneva, New York — a vibrant college town on the shores of Seneca Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. For more than 150 years, St. Peter’s has been a center of worship, music, and community outreach. We are a family of faith seeking a rector who will walk with us as we grow in Christ’s love, serve our neighbors, and explore new ways of sharing the Gospel.
Our Worship Life
Worship at St. Peter’s is rooted in Episcopal tradition while embracing a relaxed, family-centered spirit where all are welcome. Music is central to our worship, blending traditional hymns, anthems, spirituals, and contemporary praise. Flexibility in the liturgy allows the Holy Spirit to move through testimonies, celebrations, and creative offerings.
During Lent and Holy Week, we observe Stations of the Cross, host an Agape Meal on Maundy Thursday, and offer musical meditations on Good Friday. Advent brings joyful anticipation culminating in our beloved Christmas Pageant. Our worship style is reverent yet warm, focused on nourishing both heart and soul.
