Whom We Seek
Through parish-wide listening sessions and a comprehensive survey conducted during our discernment process, our community has prayerfully identified the qualities we believe are essential in our next Rector/Chaplain. These qualities reflect both who we are today and who we aspire to become.
We seek a compassionate and welcoming pastor whose warmth, sense of humor, and genuine hospitality create a deep sense of belonging for all who enter our doors. We hope for a deep listener —attentive, empathetic, and patient—who offers a steady, healing presence in times of joy, transition, and challenge.
Strong administrative and collaborative leadership is also important to us as we continue to grow in lay ministry. We desire a Rector/Chaplain who values transparent decision-making, empowers staff and laity, and nurtures a culture of shared ministry rooted in mutual respect and trust.
We seek a thoughtful theologian, grounded in Scripture and animated by a deep love for the Word of God—one who can inspire us to deepen our own engagement with Scripture and to live more fully into faithful discipleship.
Above all, we desire a leader with a wise and discerning heart, guided by prayer, humility, and openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit, as we listen together for where God is calling Ascension next.
